The owner is nice and their family far as the staff goes. Food is always prepared with love. Welcoming atmosphere. Portions are old school, you get your money's worth. My first time trying the conch soup over rice, and some of Joan's stuffing, great as usual.
We came here to get some homemade Caribbean food and we were pleasantly satisfied! Very reasonable prices and the quality of the food was excellent!!!! Joan and her staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend everyone to come by here!
Really friendly people. Helped me figure out what was what and made delicious suggestions. Great for a trip into carribean cuisine.
Solid food. Some better than others. Curry was delish. Dough for Johnny cake and Pate on point. Fillings could be improved. Overall good show!
THESE IS JUST A FEW OF THE DELICIOUS FOOD THAT JOAN'S KITCHEN HAVE TO OFFER. COME ENJOY AND FEEL RIGHT AT HOME. THE V.I. SPOT
Official USVI cuisine.. bless! Only place that will let me mix up my plate without having a silent meltdown over price LOL. I just could never choose between oxtail and mutton so I'm happy to get both. Very VI vibe as well. Once you pull in the parking lot, that whole right side is like you in St Thomas. That's because a restaurant like Joan's is a special kinda glue for the local caribbean community. It's love. And, you can taste it in the food. You must try these very VI things vienna cake, maubi drink, and pate.
OMG, the food, the people, the atmosphere, everything was Amazing. Prices are very reasonable. Whenever I am in Ft. Lauderdale, I will make Joan's Kitchen my first stop.
Stopped here for lunch today based off of Google reviews. I'm so glad I'm so glad I did. I ordered the barbecue chicken with rice and peas lunch special and it was fabulous, cooked to perfection. I had macaroni and cheese, absolutely delicious with that golden brown crust with just the right amount of crisp. I'm not a big vegetable fan, but let me tell you I've never eaten spinach and okra that tasted so good. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots and all of Broward, and I recommend everyone at least come and try it for lunch, you will not be disappointed!
